Our latest project at Nelson Airport was a new rental car hub, replacing a series of portacabins with a purpose-built, 260 square metre facility for the airport’s rental car tenants’ front-of-house functions.
Prominently located in front of the terminal building, the rental car hub is constructed with a concrete foundation, LVL timber structure, Kingspan roofing and metal cladding. The design and materials complement the award-winning main terminal, with our team endeavouring to deliver the same top-quality finishes inside and out despite the rental car hub’s much smaller scale.
The project stood out for our site team’s ability to maintain an excellent relationship with the client despite the challenges of Covid-related supply chain issues, with the airport’s CEO complimenting them on their “no problem was ever a problem” approach at the official opening.
